End of life care in the UK is widely recognised a needing substantial investment to increase the quality and quantity of counselling and hospice services, and refurbish facilities. Failure to do this has placed additional pressure on the NHS.
P2030 allocates £1 billion a year (starting in Year 2) of additional funding to directly to support construction and refurbishment of end of life facilities and hospices, and to expand services. These facilities will also be excluded from VAT on construction under the reformed rules.
